Autograph Collecting And Time Management
An investment in time may be all you need to become a success at autograph collecting. This hobby may be one of the least expensive hobbies. However, any hobby can become as expensive as you make it. There are many autograph collecting hobbyists. Some of these hobbyists are people of interests' themselves. In this hobby you are able to set goals and schedule your time to pursue this hobby when you have time. All you are looking for when you are autograph collecting is a signature. To get a signature does not have to take a month of Sundays.
At big gatherings where there are large crowds, it may take more time to get an autograph than in a small setting. If the person is very famous, it may take hours to get a signature, because more than likely the lines will be longer than for a local community leader. Nevertheless, the autograph of a famous person will be more special than some one in the local community. If you keep abreast of activities in the community and surrounding areas you can plan your autograph collecting to maximize the time you have to get your autograph collecting done. A great place to look for autographs is at your local mall. On special occasions, celebrities show up at malls and you just may get a real autograph without a huge investment of time. Some autograph collecting is done by mail.
If you decide to get your autographs by mail, be ware you may not get the real thing. Even if you decide to use the mail for your autograph collecting, it still will take time. In fact it will take much longer by mail than autograph collecting in person, if you get it at all. Take your chances, if mail is the only way for you to reach certain individuals for autographs collecting. Autograph collecting is a very enjoyable hobby, but you will need plenty of patience, time and stamina. Make it a habit to be prepared to collect autographs wherever you go. When you are prepared you are using the same time for many different things. For an example, you may go shopping and run into someone who is on your list of autograph collecting. Take time then if possible and get the autograph and Walla you have killed two birds with one stone. You just never know when you are going to run into a celebrity in a moment's notice.
At least you can carry some Index Cards around with you and not miss out on the chance to get the autograph. Autograph collecting is a great way to spend free time. You get to meet new people and share ideas of interest with each other. In large metropolitan areas, you have to use caution, because there are many look a likes. So know who's who before you approach this person of interest. Autograph collecting can bring many moments in time to life with a better understanding of the person and the event.

Hand wash in cold water with Woolite. If it is really valuable to you, don't wear it at all, then you needn't worry about washing it.

Memorabilia Autographed By Athletes: Hunting Authentic Bargains
If you are an avid sports fan, the chances are good that you collect something sports related, whether it be baseball cards programs or memorabilia autographed by your favorite team.
If you are able to get close to the field, such as during practice and warm ups, or the occasional fan club meet and greet, this is a great time to acquire some autographs in person. If you can't do this, however, or not as often as you would like, buying them online is an easy way to get them.
Signatures from baseball players who have gone on to become stars or even Hall of Famers, often have a higher value than players new to the game, both in terms of sentimental and monetary value. Time will only tell which of the newer players to the sport will go on to become champions and legends, making their autograph worth more.
Memorabilia autographed by star athletes will have higher value associated with it if it is kept in mint condition. Signed collectibles that have been framed make great gifts, and the protection helps to ensure that it retains its worth.
Signed Photos and baseball cards with no creases or corner wear will keep their value over those that show wear from mishandling. Likewise, with autographed baseballs, those that have not been smeared and retain their bright, white color, will be more valuable than a baseball that looks like it was played with.
When buying online, look for a certificate of authenticity from a reputable company. Fraudulent signatures run rampant on the Internet, and you have to be careful. Always buy from a trusted dealer, and if possible, get a photo of the original buyer obtaining the autograph in person, although that's not always possible.
If you have kids and you're trying to get them into sports, nothing will spike their enthusiasm more than a fine piece of memorabilia from their favorite player. If cared for, it will become a thing to be treasured for a lifetime.

Each signed item listed carries the authentication from one of the hobby's top companies. It is a great way to learn more about collecting sports memorabilia.

an autograph from my favorite celeb will be priceless because fans are the reason in which they are famous and have the status they currently have. Think about it, we already paid for cd, concert, movie, or whatever their talent maybe.
I really don't have a favorite celebrity, and I will pay nothing for a signed photo.

Greta Garbo Autographs
Greta Garbo autographs are among the most valued of Hollywood autographs. Despite her enormous popularity, Garbo's autograph is rare. Garbo was notorious for refusing to sign autographs, rarely attend attend public events or provide interviews, or respond to fan mail. She valued her privacy and thrived on the aura of being a private and somewhat mysterious woman.
Checks signed by Garbo occasionally appear on the autograph market and routinely sell for well over a thousand dollars. Checks signed by Garbo are usually drawn on the Security Pacific Bank located at 14th Street and Wilshire Boulevard in Santa Monica, or from the Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City. Curiously, checks from Security Pacific Bank are commonly cancelled, but their recipients retained checks drawn on her New York City bank as souvenirs. Check images bearing Garbo's autograph can be obtained for beautiful framing and display.
Garbo's handwritten letters occasionally surface on the autograph market. However, letters signed as "Greta" or "Greta Garbo" are exquisitely rare. Handwritten letters by Garbo were usually written in pencil and signed with one of her many pseudonyms. Among Garbo's favorite signatures were: Harriet Brown, HB, Harry Brown, Harry boy, Brownie, Eleanor, GG, and G.
Photos and contracts bearing Greta Garbo's autograph are rare. Typically, they are inscribed to a close friend or business associate. In the 1980s and auction company in Colorado offered a stunning inscribed Signed Photo by Garbo that was probably the best extant. In 2010, and auction company in Los Angeles offered Garbo's first Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Corporation contract upon her arrival to America. The ten-page contract dated August 26, 1925, offered Garbo compensation of $450 per week and was signed by Garbo in black ink. Shareholders transfer forms and bank documents signed by Garbo are occasionally spotted on the autograph market.
The fact that one of the popular actresses of Hollywood has an autograph that is so uncommon is a dilemma that has beguiled autograph collectors. Future generations of collectors will continue to treasure Garbo's elusive autograph.

How can I get a signed Photo From Tokio Hotel?
Sooo I am a huge Tokio Hotel fan and i recently read a question and in this question and girl received an Autographed Picture from tokio hotel I guess she e-mailed them or something??? So I would really really like to know how I can get an autographed picture from Tokio hotel And they have a puzzle ball but it's only sold in certain country's does anyone know where i can get one in Canada ??

i'm not sure, i think you might have to send a letter requesting an Autographed Photo to Germany, if they send one back it's most likely it's just a print out picture of a photo they previously signed, they don't have the time to sing ALL those requests for autographs.
I don't know what a puzzle ball is but i'm pretty sure you can't get it in Canada, i live in Canada and so far i haven't found any TH merchandise anywhere only CDs, you have to order online.

How To Look After And Care For Your Autographs
Autograph collecting is a fun and potentially lucrative hobby. But the value of a collection all depends on the condition of the pieces within it. If a piece of memorabilia becomes faded or damaged in any way it can serious decrease its value. Therefore caring and storing your autograph collection properly is very important and is something that is worth your while taking time over. Storing your collection in Large Photo binders is a great way to keep your treasures safe and out of harms way. This makes for easy access and it also works as a layer of protection between the photograph and the outside world. Regular three ring binders are also appropriate for display and organisation purposes as you can use plastic sleeves to separate each piece. * Sporting gloves, like most popular collectibles, have profitable niche sub-categories on eBay, where few listings go unsold, and surprise prices are frequent - and big mistakes very common.
Boxing gloves, for example, from well known champion fighters can reach four figure sums on eBay, as recently where a signed 'Everlast' glove said to belong to Muhammad Ali fetched $514.32, and another glove, framed, and hand signed by the 'Nine Champions' - top Boxers like Ali, Foreman, Frazier, etc. - fetched $2025.00.
* Be careful. With fabulous finishing prices like those in the last paragraph, you'd be forgiven, wouldn't you, for bidding high at offline auction for gloves, hand autographed, by other top boxers, such as Frank Bruno? And though you wouldn't expect to bank as much as gloves belonging to Ali and Frazier, you'd expect a few hundred pounds for gloves belonging to Bruno.

Do this by checking past completed eBay listings for similar items and you'll always get to profit. It's very easy to do. The technique depends on obtaining catalogues several days before any offline event. They're usually available by post, for a small fee, or downloadable free of charge from the Internet. Once you have the catalogue view prices achieved for recent completed auctions for items similar or closely resembling whatever you fancy buying at auction. You could be surprised at how much or how little those items fetched which in turn will influence your decision to bid and how much to risk on auction day.
* Gloves worn in virtually any popular sport are highly collectible and can fetch good prices on eBay. Golf, for example, baseball, and football goalie gloves, especially specimens worn and preferably signed by well-known sports men and women. Within the last thirty days, for example, a pair of gloves worn and signed by golfer Jack Nicklaus fetched $685.00, a Baseball Fielding glove belonging to Alex Rodriguez fetched $3,206.00 and another belonging to the legendary baseball player, Babe Ruth, fetched $975.00.
* It's always hard to tell a genuine signature from a fake, and like all items purportedly signed by well-known celebrities, you'll find the market packed with forgeries and innocent misrepresentations. You must be careful or you might buy an item you genuinely believe carries an authentic signature only to learn it's a fake. Get round this by asking searching questions about whatever you are buying, ask auctioneers or sellers how the signature was obtained and when. Ask for a letter, from the seller, stating the item is authentic, make sure the letter is signed and dated on official business stationery. If the item later turns out to be fake, that letter from the seller shows you acted in good faith and should keep your eBay reputation intact.
* On eBay.com sporting gloves are 'usually' listed under 'Sports Mem, Cards & Fan Shop, then under the appropriate sporting sub-category, such as 'baseball', 'golf', and so on. But be warned, there is lots of overlap and lots of potential confusion over choice of main and sub-categories. For example, today I found signed boxing gloves listed under:
- Sports Mem, Cards & Fan Shop > Boxing > Signed Memorabilia
- Sports Memorabilia > Boxing > Signed Memorabilia
- Sports Mem, Cards & Fan Shop > Autographs-Original > Boxing > Gloves
- Collectibles > Autographs --- with numerous sub-categories.
There's similar confusion surrounding sports gloves on eBay.co.uk and all other eBay country sites I studied today. All in all, total mayhem, and plenty of scope for listing your item in an inappropriate category and missing bids from people searching purely by category, not keywords, but not in the category you chose for your listing. * The 'Advanced Search' mentioned earlier is the best way to identify the optimum category for your listing, on eBay.com, eBay.co.uk, or other country site. Look for the highest recent finishing prices, click inside the listing, then top of the screen you'll see the category used for specific listings. The highest prices usually go to the most experienced and savvy sellers whose listings are always worth studying.
* Because category choice is confusing, for buyers and for sellers, it's important to be 'keyword specific', namely to use words in your title and description which potential buyers use to locate items similar to whatever you are selling. The best place to find current most frequently used keywords and phrases is at eBay's Pulse pages: http://pulse.ebay.com, http://pulse.ebay.co.uk, and so on. Front page of any Pulse home page, go to 'Category' left of the screen and choose an appropriate main category, for example: 'Sports Mem, Cards & Fan Shop, next page choose an appropriate sub-category, for example, 'Vintage Sports Memorabilia'. Left of the screen on any Pulse page you'll see 'Popular Searches', indicating most commonly used key words and phrases within each main category or sub-category.
