Autograph Collecting And Time Management
An investment in time may be all you need to become a success at autograph collecting. This hobby may be one of the least expensive hobbies. However, any hobby can become as expensive as you make it. There are many autograph collecting hobbyists. Some of these hobbyists are people of interests' themselves. In this hobby you are able to set goals and schedule your time to pursue this hobby when you have time. All you are looking for when you are autograph collecting is a signature. To get a signature does not have to take a month of Sundays.
At big gatherings where there are large crowds, it may take more time to get an autograph than in a small setting. If the person is very famous, it may take hours to get a signature, because more than likely the lines will be longer than for a local community leader. Nevertheless, the autograph of a famous person will be more special than some one in the local community. If you keep abreast of activities in the community and surrounding areas you can plan your autograph collecting to maximize the time you have to get your autograph collecting done. A great place to look for autographs is at your local mall. On special occasions, celebrities show up at malls and you just may get a real autograph without a huge investment of time. Some autograph collecting is done by mail.
If you decide to get your autographs by mail, be ware you may not get the real thing. Even if you decide to use the mail for your autograph collecting, it still will take time. In fact it will take much longer by mail than autograph collecting in person, if you get it at all. Take your chances, if mail is the only way for you to reach certain individuals for autographs collecting. Autograph collecting is a very enjoyable hobby, but you will need plenty of patience, time and stamina. Make it a habit to be prepared to collect autographs wherever you go. When you are prepared you are using the same time for many different things. For an example, you may go shopping and run into someone who is on your list of autograph collecting. Take time then if possible and get the autograph and Walla you have killed two birds with one stone. You just never know when you are going to run into a celebrity in a moment's notice.
At least you can carry some Index Cards around with you and not miss out on the chance to get the autograph. Autograph collecting is a great way to spend free time. You get to meet new people and share ideas of interest with each other. In large metropolitan areas, you have to use caution, because there are many look a likes. So know who's who before you approach this person of interest. Autograph collecting can bring many moments in time to life with a better understanding of the person and the event.

According to a recent Nielsen/NetRatings survey, 46 million people visited MySpace in July 2006, each spending an average of two hours and 15 minutes on the site. So what makes MySpace so popular? First it lets users create their own free profile, including photos, videos, and music. Users can also completely customize the layout, colors, and text of their profiles including blogs, event announcements, bulletin posts, and more.
Extremely popular with teens and young adults, MySpace is part of a growing new trend on the Internet of "social networking" sites. Although there are multiple social networking sites online including Friendster, Facebook, and Xanga. MySpace is the most popular. It also has the most celebrities as real members. MySpace is so popular, in fact, that News Corp. bought it for $580 million.
Celebrities know that one of the benefits of being on MySpace is that when they make a post to their MySpace blog talking about something they're working on or announce an event such as a live appearance or autograph signing, their messages will be viewed directly by their fans without having to rely on email lists, spend a lot of money on advertising, etc. that may or may not get their message out in time.
To being contacting celebrities using MySpace, first set up your profile. Then you invite your friends to link their profiles to yours -- and that's when the fun begins! Most of the people linking to you and to your friends will have the same interests, live in the same town, etc. So it's a great way to keep in touch with old friends and also make new ones, which is why MySpace is called a "social networking" site. Think of it like six degrees of separation (but in actuality it's more like three degrees online!).
Although MySpace is currently used mostly by teens, more young adults and adults are signing up every day (including celebrities). So despite what you may have heard about old men setting up profiles on MySpace to lure young children, most people use it to keep in touch with other people like themselves and to make new friends. You can search for peope by zip code, city, High School, college, networking category (marketing, publishing, etc.), and more. This lets you find other people you already know or would like to meet, because they share either the same background or the same interests, career, or hobbies you do.
MySpace allows its users to share intimate details about their life (sometimes a little too intimate!) that you would perhaps never learn without it since most people put on airs in person. As society becomes more and more socially cut off with technological advances like caller id, email, and text messages, people are now looking for more and more ways to connect on a personal level while still utilizing "cool" technology. MySpace lets them do just that, and celebrities are no exception. They can now communicate with their fans without having to give out their personal information. Now when they meet their fans they can say "look me up on MySpace and send me a message!"
Larger-than-life celebrities use MySpace to promote themselves. Madonna, for instance, posts news about her latest album releases, song downloads, screen savers, and more on her profile. Recently it linked to MTV.com so fans could vote for her in the five MTV Video Music Awards categories she was nominated for. Celebrities like Madonna make no qualms about using MySpace as a savvy marketing and promotional tool. As of this article she had 71,752 friends linked to her profile and 19,214 comments! And that doesn't even count the hundreds if not thousands of messages and new friend requests she probably receives on a daily basis.
However, many celebrities actually set up their profiles themselves, read their messages, and respond to fans directly. Janice Dickinson, the former "love her or hate her" judge on "America's Next Top Model" has her own profile. She used it to announce casting calls for her reality show "The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency" on Oxygen, and lists Jose Canseco as one of her top friends. Adult Star Jenna Jameson uses her profile to blog about her life and show off photos of herself with stars like Paris Hilton. And yes, Paris has her own profile too (with sister Nikki Hilton as one of her friends, of course!).
To set up your own MySpace profile, visit http://www.myspace.com and click on Sign Up in the top right-hand corner. From there, fill out the information it asks for and follow the rest of the instructions. After you've set up your profile, you can download profile templates from sites like MyGen. Do a search on Google for "myspace profile templates" to find other similar sites.
After you've set up your own MySpace profile, you can send private messages to celebrities you find after you add them as friends. Since most celebrities understand that when you add them as friends to your profile they may gain additional fans among your friends as well, they'll usually approve your friend request even though they don't know you. You can also post a comment on their page that includes your picture. In fact, a great way to request a free autographed Photo From the star is to send he or she a message. Simply ask for an Autographed Photo, and be sure to include your name and address!

Memorabilia Autographed By Athletes: Hunting Authentic Bargains
If you are an avid sports fan, the chances are good that you collect something sports related, whether it be baseball cards programs or memorabilia autographed by your favorite team.
If you are able to get close to the field, such as during practice and warm ups, or the occasional fan club meet and greet, this is a great time to acquire some autographs in person. If you can't do this, however, or not as often as you would like, buying them online is an easy way to get them.
Signatures from baseball players who have gone on to become stars or even Hall of Famers, often have a higher value than players new to the game, both in terms of sentimental and monetary value. Time will only tell which of the newer players to the sport will go on to become champions and legends, making their autograph worth more.
Memorabilia autographed by star athletes will have higher value associated with it if it is kept in mint condition. Signed collectibles that have been framed make great gifts, and the protection helps to ensure that it retains its worth.
Signed Photos and baseball cards with no creases or corner wear will keep their value over those that show wear from mishandling. Likewise, with autographed baseballs, those that have not been smeared and retain their bright, white color, will be more valuable than a baseball that looks like it was played with.
When buying online, look for a certificate of authenticity from a reputable company. Fraudulent signatures run rampant on the Internet, and you have to be careful. Always buy from a trusted dealer, and if possible, get a photo of the original buyer obtaining the autograph in person, although that's not always possible.
If you have kids and you're trying to get them into sports, nothing will spike their enthusiasm more than a fine piece of memorabilia from their favorite player. If cared for, it will become a thing to be treasured for a lifetime.

an autograph from my favorite celeb will be priceless because fans are the reason in which they are famous and have the status they currently have. Think about it, we already paid for cd, concert, movie, or whatever their talent maybe.

Greta Garbo Autographs
Greta Garbo autographs are among the most valued of Hollywood autographs. Despite her enormous popularity, Garbo's autograph is rare. Garbo was notorious for refusing to sign autographs, rarely attend attend public events or provide interviews, or respond to fan mail. She valued her privacy and thrived on the aura of being a private and somewhat mysterious woman.
Checks signed by Garbo occasionally appear on the autograph market and routinely sell for well over a thousand dollars. Checks signed by Garbo are usually drawn on the Security Pacific Bank located at 14th Street and Wilshire Boulevard in Santa Monica, or from the Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City. Curiously, checks from Security Pacific Bank are commonly cancelled, but their recipients retained checks drawn on her New York City bank as souvenirs. Check images bearing Garbo's autograph can be obtained for beautiful framing and display.
Garbo's handwritten letters occasionally surface on the autograph market. However, letters signed as "Greta" or "Greta Garbo" are exquisitely rare. Handwritten letters by Garbo were usually written in pencil and signed with one of her many pseudonyms. Among Garbo's favorite signatures were: Harriet Brown, HB, Harry Brown, Harry boy, Brownie, Eleanor, GG, and G.
Photos and contracts bearing Greta Garbo's autograph are rare. Typically, they are inscribed to a close friend or business associate. In the 1980s and auction company in Colorado offered a stunning inscribed Signed Photo by Garbo that was probably the best extant. In 2010, and auction company in Los Angeles offered Garbo's first Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Corporation contract upon her arrival to America. The ten-page contract dated August 26, 1925, offered Garbo compensation of $450 per week and was signed by Garbo in black ink. Shareholders transfer forms and bank documents signed by Garbo are occasionally spotted on the autograph market.
The fact that one of the popular actresses of Hollywood has an autograph that is so uncommon is a dilemma that has beguiled autograph collectors. Future generations of collectors will continue to treasure Garbo's elusive autograph.

How can I get a signed Photo From Tokio Hotel?
Sooo I am a huge Tokio Hotel fan and i recently read a question and in this question and girl received an Autographed Picture from tokio hotel I guess she e-mailed them or something??? So I would really really like to know how I can get an autographed picture from Tokio hotel And they have a puzzle ball but it's only sold in certain country's does anyone know where i can get one in Canada ??

i'm not sure, i think you might have to send a letter requesting an Autographed Photo to Germany, if they send one back it's most likely it's just a print out picture of a photo they previously signed, they don't have the time to sing ALL those requests for autographs.
I don't know what a puzzle ball is but i'm pretty sure you can't get it in Canada, i live in Canada and so far i haven't found any TH merchandise anywhere only CDs, you have to order online.

How To Look After And Care For Your Autographs
Autograph collecting is a fun and potentially lucrative hobby. But the value of a collection all depends on the condition of the pieces within it. Therefore caring and storing your autograph collection properly is very important and is something that is worth your while taking time over. Storing your collection in Large Photo binders is a great way to keep your treasures safe and out of harms way. It is also a good way to keep the pieces organised as you can arrange each photo on its own page behind the clear plastic sleeve. This makes for easy access and it also works as a layer of protection between the photograph and the outside world. Regular three ring binders are also appropriate for display and organisation purposes as you can use plastic sleeves to separate each piece. When you have filled a folder try not to stack the folders as this could cause damage. Make sure you store them in a cool and dry area away from heat and moisture.
If you want your autographs to be stored separately then you can use individual plastic sleeves in separate large envelopes and file them loosely but firmly upright in a dry and cool cabinet.
